REMARKABLE WORDS OF LORD MAHAVIR ( JAINISM)....

                              " JAY JITENDRA"

Jainism as a religion contemporary of Buddhism and doesn't have a single founder. The word JAIN is derived from JINA or JAINA which means"the conqueror." They believe that their religion is comprised of people who have managed to control and conquer their desires.

They had 24 tirthankars ( great learned man) and Mahavir was the last one. But people mistakenly think that Mahavir was the founder of Jainism. Mahavir as a tirthankar achieved the goal of spirituality and taught the others the right way to get Moksha ( liberation).

Actually, Mahavir was a prince of Jnatrika clan and had a real name Vardhaman. He was born at Kundalgram in vaisali to king Siddhartha and queen Trisila. He found the truth of his life ie KEVALYA at the town of Pava near Patna. He was given the title Mahavir ( great hero) and Jitendriya ( who controls all his desires) and also Nirgrantha ( who is free from all bonds).

Jainism also rejects the authority of Vedas like Buddhism but they obey the existence of soul. They believe in RATNATRAYA ( THREE JEWELS) VIZ. RIGHT BELIEF, RIGHT KNOWLEDGE, RIGHT CONDUCT and by this they can get rid from the bad karmas and achieve salvation. Jains need to follow five constraints in life. They are Ahimsa ( nonviolence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya ( non stealing), Aparigraha (non acquisition), Bramhacharya ( chaste life).

Irrespective of religion , the teachings of Jainism is very important right now for live in a safety planet and then life becomes pretty easier. The Nonviolence, Truthfulness and Non acquisition are particularly important.

Let's discuss some remarkable words of Vardhaman Mahavir....

1. I forgive all living beings; may all living beings forgive me. I cherish friendliness towards all and harbour enmity towards none.

2. Nonviolence is the true religion for mankind.

3. Always forgive others as they don't deserve but you deserve peace in life.

4. Sensuous enjoyments yield momentary pleasures cause prolonged misery. By there very nature , they give maximum sorrow and minimum happiness. They are an obstacle to emancipation and a veritable mine of evils.

5. As for men observing celibacy , company of women is prohibited and vice versa ( both should avoid each other).

6. There are many virtuous woman who are renowned for their purity and chastity . They are like  goddesses on this earth and even revered by celestials.

7. One must conquer one's own self. One who does so,is blessed in this world and also in the next.

8.Jains don't depend upon God; but the whole force of their religion is directed to the great central truth in every religion,to evolve a God out of man.

People didn't understand the core value of Jainism and thought it was difficult to practiced thats gave a jolt to Jainism for it's declination.
