The North Indian people in general and the Panjabis in particular are celebrated this auspicious day by flying kites. Flying kites is also regarding as a symbol of freedom and gives a mental satisfaction. Also some put stress on wearing yellow colour clothes on this day as it gives a spiritual feeling and enhances peace inside the body.
